Federal
Court judge declares provision of a federal criminal
statute unconstitutional. The Judge recognizes
Andrew Berg’s “critical legal eye” in his decision.
United States v. Grigsby, 85 F.Supp.2d 100 (D.R.I.
2000)(Lagueux, J.).

Obtained $200,000 award in the Rhode Island Commission
for Human Rights in a sex discrimination/harassment
case. This award is one of the largest in the
history of the Commission.

Achieved judgment after a jury trial of $1.3 million in
a case of tenure discrimination and retaliation against
Brown University. This was the largest jury
verdict in Rhode Island for 2003. Shoucair v.

$400,000 settlement in pregnancy discrimination case
brought by female physician against her former practice
partners.

Achieved a $7.6 million settlement for a mother, and her
three minor children. The mother sustained brain
injuries when struck by a pick-up truck while crossing a

Island company and Chinese manufacturer.

$575,000 settlement for discrimination, whistleblower,
and wrongful termination claims brought by stockbroker
against her former brokerage house employer.

million settlement for former power company employee
permanently injured on the job but denied a disability
pension.

million settlement for small Rhode Island company
involved in a contract dispute against a Fortune 500
company.

Arbitration award for eight years of back pay, pension
benefits, interest, and attorneys fees for unlawfully
terminated correctional officer.
